It’s a bit weird to me that this is specifically for neovim when it kinda seems like a generic piece of glass for “some TUI” that in this case happens to be nv. Maybe I missed the point.
- HellsMaddy 3y agoNeovim has an RPC API specifically designed to allow GUIs to render it outside the terminal. Neovide isn’t treating it as a generic TUI. https://neovim.io/doc/user/ui.html https://neovim.io/doc/user/ui.html
- nerdponx 3y agoTheoretically you could support the same RPC API from a completely different text editor, and thereby use any Neovim-compatible frontend . That sounds like a nightmare of course, but it's technically possible.
