Twitter seems fine for mass dissemination of information, but jeez the discourse sucks, it just feels like it has this tremendous capability of bringing out the worst in people -- it's like watching a rockstar get hyped by the audience into stage-diving and they end up slamming into the ground while the audience laughs. that's the mental picture I have when people much more powerful, rich, good-looking and smarter than I say some of the stupidest shit i've ever read, usually to nearly instantaneous regret.
