- bell-cot 3y agoI smell a new business model here - the USSF buys a Starship or few, and pays SpaceX for maintenance and launch services (SpaceX owns the Booster, launch tower, tank farm, etc.) Somewhat similar to how a dinky airline can own planes, but contract for most of the high-skill and capital-intensive support services. And the USSF might imagine a further transition - where they start acquiring the skills, Boosters, and ground equipment, to possibly move things closer to all-USSF operations.
