Steve Jobs is gone. I’ve prophesied that the Apple stock will go up like crazy (the OS is in a near duopoly after all), but the magic spark (it just works/delight/polish factor) will be worse and worse as more and more employees and processes change. Journalists are the easiest to delight so if they can’t even do that… All that said, I do think they will succeed eventually with this product, with years of using us as beta testers and shrinking the size of it.
