A new brand of lunacy for sale (1985)
- ano-ther 3y ago> Racter, short for Raconteur, holds its own in conversations by reaching randomly into banks of words and sentence patterns, guided by an internal logic that yields coherent, if odd, thoughts. Guided by the responses given by the human at the keyboard, or sometimes blithely at random, Racter then soars off on a psychedelic spiral of word association and synthesized prose. It chats, tells stories, laughs at its own bad jokes and even sneezes from time to time. Its always-changing sentences are grammatically correct, often funny and, for a computer, sometimes profound. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racter https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racter
