G+ is a joke. Nobody outside of the tech and geek industries either wants it or uses it. And yet they carry on doing everything they can just to herd people into creating G+ accounts.
Hey, it might work. Got to get those numbers up, right? But they can't make me USE my G+ account.
- sp332 14y agoAny page with a +1 button on it reports your visit back to Google. Even if you don't push the button! So now Google can mine your browsing history for advertisers.
- waqf 14y agoGood news everyone! Chrome now supports multiple profiles. So you can have one to log into Google services, and one for the rest of the web.
- Lost_BiomedE 14y agoCan I have one tab for google, and the others for the rest of the web. Or, am I doomed to alt-tabbing between windows?
- throwaway64 14y agoyou do realize that any page that contains google analytics (practically every website) will do the same thing right?
- tbatterii 14y ago"The Internet is a joke. Nobody outside of the tech and geek industries either wants it or uses it. " sometimes, things change.
- artursapek 14y agoThat's a terrible comparison. There was no alternative to the internet that did the same things.
- tbatterii 14y ago"There was no alternative to the internet that did the same things." And this is a terrible interpretation of what I intended on saying. :) I was mocking the validity of the parents assertion because I find it has as much credibility as my ridiculous assertion. Perhaps you were mocking mine? and if so, kudos to you sir.
- jsprinkles 14y agoI'm in the tech and geek industries and I used my G+ account for about ten minutes.
- Niksko 14y agoBut why aren't you using your G+ account? Let's be honest. Google+ is almost identical to Facebook. It has equivalent functionality in every respect, and in most respects it improves on that functionality. The only reason you're not using it is because nobody is there. How do you fix that? Force people to use it. As soon as a handful of people realise that it's actually better and more well designed than Facebook, people will flock there.
