More & more feels like the real-world is becoming minecraft.
- fouc 3y agoI wonder what proportion of HNers have played minecraft. I've never gotten around to it.
- max_ 3y agoI played it for like 30 min. Then uninstalled it.
- RajT88 3y agoYou've got it backwards. The real world has always been this way. Minecraft is getting better and better at making dull real world activities fun.
- hot_gril 3y agoBack in middle school, there was MC server drama over people stealing sand from around people's houses. And every big build involved destroying some nearby island for its resources.
- kjkjadksj 3y agoI remember some server that basically existed as a work camp for the builder owner. They were accumulating cobblestone to recreate a 1:1 minas tirath. They would provide diamond tooling and you’d just mine and fill certain chests for them with cobble. The other resources you’d find served as your payment.
- hot_gril 3y agoI heard the best cobblestone is directly under the peaceful NPC villages and sacred ocean temples.
