How is buying gift cards money laundering tactics? I don’t think either one of us will persuade the other so might as well end this here.
- sjsdaiuasgdia 3y agoGift cards are extensively used for money laundering and fraud. A quick search turns up endless articles and reports going back a decade or more. I give and receive gift cards often enough, and no, no one is going to bat an eye if you're occasionally buying something with a gift card. If that's the primary way you interact with the financial system, I'm going to assume you're involved in some kind of crime and I've got a good chance at being right in that assumption.
