The shower cap didn’t use brain surgery though.
- wilg 3y agoMight as well pack it in. The shower cap is enough!
- amenhotep 3y agoYou're missing the point entirely, it's not about whether the shower cap is or is not enough. It's about how the shower cap is far less intrusive and dangerous than brain surgery and yet nobody is wearing them. Ergo maybe the most minimally capable version of this technology isn't as revolutionary as you've described.
- wilg 3y agoYour idea is that because people aren't walking around wearing these (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Daniel-Lacko/publication/317304476/figure/fig3/AS:614363463426059@1523487072322/EEG-cap-with-gel-based-electrodes-inserted-Photo-by-Chris-Hope-made-available-by-Tim.png https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Daniel-Lacko/publicatio...) that the concept is flawed, rather than needing to be in a different form factor? (Ignoring that the Neuralink device has many different capabilities, including and especially being able to cause brain stimulus, which an EEG cap cannot. And that writing data into the brain is a major component of what I said.)
