Not impressed. This isn't really Blockchain technology being the only or best solution for the computing resources, it's just a "hey it exists so I guess we can try". Seti@Home and Folding@Home started the "volunteer" distributed workers decades ago so the technology is really nothing new.
Please correct me of I'm wrong. I'm sure the cryptobros and blockchain enthusiasts will think otherwise.
- dtagames 3y agoYou're not wrong. Saddling nearly any project with a blockchain can only make it slower, more expensive, more wasteful of energy, less flexible, and more difficult to fix. And it's certainly not going to "reveal" anything.
