Is your Accept-Language header set to en_US?

  Not sure to be honest, I’ll have a check tomorrow. I’m not genuinely bothered by it, hopefully my rant came across in the playful tone I meant it. I do normally set the language in places, otherwise all my s’s end up as z’s (pronounced zed).

  No, they just don’t care. Mine is definitely set to British English and I still get crosswalk all the time.
