> Who wants to buy a half-finished building abandoned during construction
This is actually not a big deal at all if you are following modern high-rise construction techniques.
- 10u152 3y agoThe problem is can you trust the structure/QA process, is the documentation in place etc. Otherwise it’s a liability nightmare
- smfjaw 3y agoI somehow think the ccp might look favourably and ignore some liabilities if someone else becomes the new bag holder, you know, saving their RE industry and stuff
- Kon-Peki 3y agoAnyone with the means and ability to take over a project is going to know what they’re getting into before signing any papers or handing over any money :)
- NoPicklez 3y agoRight and that can also mean it might be a tough liquidation to find someone with the means and ability. Tough doesn't mean it can't happen, just that it might be harder than normal to square it away
- anon-sre-srm 3y agoYep. And the presumption during construction was creating a usable building, so it's not necessarily all that risky. The risk is in monetizing that floor space.
- coffeebeqn 3y agoIs there any guarantee what you buy will ever be fully funded and finished? Sounds like a nice hole to pour your money into and never see it again. I guess you could move in without utilities if your floor is finished
- raverbashing 3y agoYes I'm sure they're following all of those in China, and buildings don't just fall like a pancake
