The problem with anonymity is moderation. Every community needs a source of trust to back attestations. In an anonymous forum, that trust is established with user reputation. The problem is that every user of every forum must build that reputation from scratch. Every time an anonymous forum fails, the cycle repeats.
What we need is decentralized moderation.

- staplers 3y agoWhat we need is decentralized moderation. Democracy comes to mind, but that doesn't solve the 1 human: 1 vote issue. The best solution (utilizing a blockchain) we've found so far favors either electricity producers (pow) or the richest stakeholders (pos). Ensuring 1:1 human:vote ratio is near impossible without centralization.
