British man acquitted over London-Spain flight bomb hoax

I was not aware that SnapChat (at least) scans all messages for keywords and notifies authorities before encrypting. This guy thought he was safe because of encryption to make his sic joke but found out otherwise. Wonder how many other apps do the same?

Either SnapChat grasses on its users or their encryption has been cracked. So which is it SnapChat?

Where does SnapChat say they encrypt? Cant find anything. Looks like they do not? However they do say: "We also work to proactively escalate to law enforcement any content appearing to involve imminent threats to life, such as...bomb threats..." from past discussion: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=39136548 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=39136548
