I don't think bypassing a law used by huge platforms to avoid responsibility for the harms they are actively complicit in is a bad thing.

  Indeed, if I post some shit on some platform, that platform isn't responsible for what I say. However, the underlying mechanics of the platform can influence who sees my post and how it subsequently read, used, transmitted. And people who work for those platforms--programmers, managers, and so on--are responsible for making choices about how that works. There should be accountability there.
