I merely watch from the sidelines, but what the Mono/Xamarin guys accomplish year after year could be a good lesson for any founder. Having spent enough time in the .Net world, I can tell that any attempt at creating a compatible .Net framework is a daunting, enormous undertaking. I guess the key thing is, FOCUS.
