The Aviation Herald needs your help to recover from advertising failure
- KRAKRISMOTT 3y agoThe decline of general aviation unfortunately is not that easy to overcome. Maybe they should consider the Apple News program, but I think AAPL will probably take a big chunk of the profits.
- schmookeeg 3y agoNot sure what GA has to do with what appears to be a news aggregation site from 1998 about commercial airliner incidents. Not sure who would be in for 12 euros for that list either. There are modern alternatives who are not rattling the collection plate. I run across ASN the most when looking for this sorta thing. https://aviation-safety.net/ https://aviation-safety.net/

- reiichiroh 3y agoIt’s a good time for them to be relevant with the Boeing scandal exploding. $17.99 for their app’s lack of features and poor typography are not appealing, unfortunately.
- voxadam 3y agoIt sounds like what they need is a benefactor, someone like Matthew Sheil in Australia who built himself a Boeing 747-400 simulator that cost $300,000.[0] I believe he's building a new simulator that's built around a genuine cockpit that was pulled out of newer 747. Dave of the EEVblog had covered both simulators on his YouTube channels, they're quite impressive. - danielfoster 3y agoI love AVH, but at the same time feel like they could be doing more to monetize. Why not start a YouTube channel? There are air crash investigators getting millions of views and earning plenty of ad / sponsorship revenue there.
