Is there any realistic way to keep big, influential corporations from imposing their bad UI choices on the rest of us? Can we at least get the word out to everyone else that this is not a fad worth copying and making into the new standard? (I'm looking at you, toggle switches, skinny scrollbars on desktop UIs, and the white wasteland UI designs that don't put any kind of borders between different sections of the screen.) I thought this article was going to be about the replacement of checkboxes by toggle switches, and was displeased to see that it was about something even worse.
