Ask HN: Has Kagi got much slower and laggy for you too?
I've been a happy subscriber but it takes around 5-0 seconds to get my search results. On the same network, Google opens up in <1 seconds.
- enasterosophes 3y agoI just searched for "hacker news" on both kagi and google. Google took about 1 second and kagi took 2-3 seconds. Given kagi doesn't have google's resources, I think it's reasonable. I speculate it could slow down a lot based on settings. You may use a lot more filters on the Personalized Results tab than my 116. I also disable "instant answers" (i.e. AI summaries), inline video, and search suggestion details.
