- compsciphd 3y agoI used to joke one would save a lot of money by living and working in WA near the oregon border (i.e. Vancouver, WA) and doing all your shopping over the river in Portland.
- irrational 3y agoThat is true, if you are working in WA. What doesn't work in living in WA but your job is headquartered in Oregon (such as Nike or Intel). That is the worst of all worlds.
- compsciphd 3y agoit surprises me a bit that said companies haven't opened offices over the border. Easy enough to come over to the main offices for meetings when needed.
