Tell HN: "Taylor Swift AI" has a lot more relevant results on Yandex vs. Google
- ungreased0675 3y agoGoogle does a great job of censoring and filtering everything except blogspam and Pinterest.
- Sunspark 3y agoWhile I am definitely sympathetic to Taylor Swift, from an objective perspective, this is an example of why it's nice that other regulatory domains like Russia exist that do not have to comply with directives from American regulators. Serving DCMA on Russia just doesn't happen.
- SturgeonsLaw 3y agoYep, Yandex is my goto when I want a perspective outside of the one the corporate West wants you to have. I once searched for Hunter Biden's emails on both Yandex and Google, first result in Yandex was the actual searchable email archive, but it was nowhere to be seen on Google, instead I just got page after page of articles from CNN et al titled "here's what you need to know about Hunter Biden's emails".
