Well the OP counters his own speculation (but even if he didn't who knows what really happened):
"(indeed, I was missing the domain knowledge and operations experience required for my role, as I had only ever been a trader)."
What's interesting about this is the tendency for people to assume the reason 'asked questions' as completely true.
- truculent 3y agoThe subtext here is that OP may not have been qualifies on paper, but nobody else was either (indeed, in a world where “grown-ups” are unnecessary, it may have been looked at as a positive)
