What's your deployment model? I've had it deployed on Kubernetes for 100 users since June 2019 and it's been painless. We upgrade every month, it's usually just a helm upgrade gitlab/gitlab -f values.yaml Once a year they do a major release, usually around May, and I need to upgrade Postgres or Redis but that's the extent of it.
