I have been thinking about regexps lately. This is literaly a programming language. To point I said to myself: just have programs hardcoded for very simple "regexps", and just write an actual program for the more complex one (which is "rare" and each time solt of pain to tune and make do what I really want), just need a "quick to use" software SDK for that. If I end up with brain time and energy to do just that, I plan to do it with ~C99 and assembly. Namely, instead of relearning the complexity of the regexp language each time and spend a significant amount of time, I end up with a quick and easy to use SDK, probably a small set of commands. I think I am going to eat the bullet.
