I kept an apple notes entry for this when I set up my M1 mbp.
Things installed on new MacBook
- Spotify
- Xcode tools
- Vs code
- iterm2
- Home-brew
- Zsh and ohmyzsh
- Emacs (mainly for org mode)
- Obsidian
- Firefox
- Chrome
- Node and typescript
- Steam
- Python
- Nord theme everywhere
- amphetamine app (screen sleep/no sleep)
- rectangle app (window management)
- Discord app
- vlc
- zotero
- latex / texshop
- zoom
I use the stock reminders, notes, calendar apps
I use the freeform app as it works well with my ipad and apple pencil.
I would like a better calendar app with a nicer UX.
- voltaireodactyl 3y agoAgreed on calendar app. I still have a grandfathered in Fantastical license but I can’t bring myself to use it since I’m not 100% sure what features I can use or not.
- coldtrait 3y agoThere's the new Notion calendar that looks interesting. Another calendar app is Grila which is unique.
