You can stick it on the charger while eating, taking a shower or whatever else. With my samsung watch I usually stick it on the charger in the morning or in the hours before bed, when I don't really care about collecting any data/don't have to worry about urgent notifications. And if I'm out somewhere and don't have my watch charger handy, I can stick it on the back of my phone and charge it from that.
