Same old missing the point by a mile argument.. Apple/Mac/Jobs always had a "bicycle for the mind" mass market product vision. Power users like most on HN can cope with the inadequacies of buggy software and OSes with a lot of maintenance/care required and care more for DIY / fixability while focussing more on performance per dollar.
