Everytime I see interesting old projects like this, their last commit is around the time of their HN posting.
It's like they're super motivated to create something specifically to post on HN, and that's it. Or, having people see it finally drains all motivation...
- mepian 3y agoThis project is a decade older than HN.
- deaddodo 3y agoI wasn't giving a reason. I was saying the dying off of many of them correlates to being posted to HN. Whether that's because the exposure burns them out or because that was their primary goal or some other reason. I don't know, I just see it happening often, like how this one's last commit was 3 years ago, a year before their first post on HN. There's no blame, more curiosity as to what causes it.
