Meh, this is so obviously shortsighted to me that I find it hard to watch. Reminiscent of Pope Pius X's rejection of the automobile, post invention. The current state of GAI's are clearly echo chambers of the world we've created. It was a very foggy mirror, but now it's a much more clear mirror. While we're lazily prophesising and spewing metaphysics from our armchairs, I guess I'd venture to say that the true creativity will come with the right closed loop model, realtime sensing and effectors, sufficiently complex memory structure and value assessment, and long term (global) objective assignments and reward structure.
