I guess I'm guilty of a variant of that, I always have something going on on the TV in my office at low volume, but it's never anything I have to pay the least bit of attention to (it's usually reruns of old TV shows, or multi-season stuff I've seen a zillion times on Hulu), and it's just background noise to break up the monotony.
But I suspect such high numbers for that show means someone is actually watching. It was entertaining enough, but I'm just floored at it being #2 of all the shows they have
