It's so incredible how we went from "Netflix has everything for 7.99$, TV is dead" to "You need 6 subscriptions and they all have ads" in about 10 years.
I guess everything does move quicker in tech.
- sliken 3y agoThere was a huge push to custom streaming services. Even on just for star trek, really? It seems like many services are losing money, firing CEOs, and selling content to netflix again.
- sparky_z 3y agoNothing surprising about it. $7.99 per person for everything was obviously unsustainable. It wasn't enough to fund the creation of the content that it was selling. Something was always going to give.
