It sounds soapbox-y, but this is what made me finally pause my Prime membership. I plan on unpausing it if I need free shipping for a bunch of purchases, but my Amazon spending has cratered in past couple years anyway due to a growing mistrust of its products (e.g. getting counterfeits, etc). Though, it also turns out you still get free shipping on most things without having Prime anyway. :shrug:
- sliken 3y agoI use amazon video a bit, not nearly as much as netflix, and the cheaper/faster shipping. But the minute I get an ad I'm cancelling.
- SlightlyLeftPad 3y agoThis was the final nail in the coffin for me, I cancelled my prime membership. Edit: Amazon’s refusal to “manage” the massive loads of counterfeits/throwaway brands/alibaba garbage was also a factor
