Someone having a change of heart of their own volition is different to trying to make someone change.
- ImJamal 3y agoYou can try to help people change their mind. Daryl Davis is a black man who got quite a few people to leave the KKK by talking to them and showing his humanity. The idea you can't help people along is ridiculous.
- consumer451 3y agoI agree with you. That's why I don't block Tankies or Nazis. I try to communicate with them, until they block me. But from a moderation POV, which that discussion is about, it does make sense that mods are unlikely to change polarized minds. In my experience it is more likely to push you further into your position so as to get that sweet feeling of revolution.
