It would be interesting to see what would happen if ChatGPT required users to talk to it respectfully, or have it eventually refuse to fulfill the request, or even to fulfill future requests until you made amends. It doesn't seem like a big enough burden that people would just stop using the application altogether. And if language is shaped by the medium of communication, would people start writing differently outside of ChatGPT? Acting differently? Now, that will never happen, but I'd like to run the experiment in a pocket universe if I could.
