My guess is that the mask used wasn't providing a good seal and therefore didn't provide a "pure" nitrogen atmosphere, which prolonged the ordeal..

- buggeryorkshire 3y agoMy guess too. In which case why don't they put him entirely inside a sealed environment?
- m-p-3 3y agoSeems like someone high up didn't want to spend too much on an "untested" method in case it didn't work as expected, and it didn't work as expected because they cheaped out so they won't be able to put more money. Sounds like government work at its finest..
