  It's still maintained by Apache, and I'm sure it is still used by a lot of legacy systems, but it has basically lost to git.   SVN was obsolete around 2010; it just had a lot of inertia from existing projects.

  You can't pry SVN from gaming artists. Good luck. Binary files in git suck.

    git + nexus maybe would be the way to go ?
