Do federally backed student loans that you can’t even escape via bankruptcy really make college part of the “market economy”?
- sokoloff 3y agoStudents are applying for and voluntarily taking those loans and spending the money (and their time) electively attending universities. Is it as perfectly market competitive as buying retail gasoline? No. Does it contain significant elements of consumer choice? Yes.
- beaeglebeached 3y agoThis is more of an argument those who fund the federal government backstop are one of the customers imo.
