I would not blame LLMs for the current wave of layoffs. Maybe in the future, but these are more likely corrections from all the hiring and growth we saw during the pandemic.
- maerF0x0 3y agoi agree. I think LLMs may more likely be responsible for these jobs never coming back. ie, in the past jobs would come and go with the cycle, but now some fraction (maybe 1/1, 1/2, 1/3) of them will not come back ever because they simply wont need as many people to support the next record revenue.
