Has that changed recently? (I haven't lived in the Netherlands for 10 years). AFAIK it is perfectly legal to do that if you believe you need it for security.

- fjfaase 3y agoThanks for your addition. I understand that you do not need a permit, but you do need to make clear that the camera is needed for some security reason. I think that many people who buy a doorbell camera are not doing that for a security reason and probably do not have a good security reason, but just install it because it is handy, for example, to talk with people delivery goods or answer strangers ringing the bell without having to leave the living room.
