- lotsofpulp 3y agoSNL’s intent is not to “light a fire”, it is to be funny, which shaming the wrong party makes it not funny. And I don’t see how lighting a fire under the wrong entity’s ass helps anyone other than Boeing.
- pstuart 3y agoI noted the intent. Alaska has been lax in maintenance before (critically so, e.g., https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alaska_Airlines_Flight_261 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alaska_Airlines_Flight_261). If this pressure flows through to Boeing than so be it. I do agree that it would have been better to skewer Boeing directly but I can see why they chose the path they did.
