Yeah I've gotten this repeatedly from CNN. It's the "We want to track you, but we have to provide an opt out, but we've intentionally constructed the opt out mechanism to fail if you have any kind or privacy filters enabled" The idea that requiring tracking to disable tracking is allowed in any "compliance" with these privacy laws is absurd. The requirement should be "if you cannot track affirmative consent to tracking you must not track, and you cannot block users who have blocked such tracking mechanisms".
