Came to say the same. Big difference in programming language support -- in addition to arduino (or C I presume?) the esp32c3 can be programmed in no_std rust, either 8266 or 32 can be programmed with micropython. Or apparently you can just use ESPHome, which sounds like the easiest approach if all if it suits your use case!
- jakupovic 3y agoESPHome is the sh*t.I keep reading articles on HN about its uses and have ti agree everytime. Of course this is coupled with HomeAssistant which also comes with metrics. Just phenomenal.
