That's too bad. In 2008 and the years immediately following, referring my friends for jobs as ad raters while I was at El Goog helped keep several of them off the streets. Nothing but fond memories of helping my friends and hearing stories about raters going into "the ring" to fight about particular ads. Despite being an engineer, ad rater was a job I was wholly unqualified for since it required a college degree.
