Ask HN: Looking for editors that make use of anamorphic illusion
So, instead of using color gradients to highlight coding 'differences'; was trying to find the 3d illusion version/take. aka make highlighted code / code of interest per treesitter literally 'stand out'. [0] vs. 70's [1]
and/or pop out the emacs tree & relevant branches of interest.

- thanatos519 3y agoI suppose you could simply choose the colors to work with ChromaDepth glasses: https://www.3dglassesonline.com/products/chromadepth/ https://www.3dglassesonline.com/products/chromadepth/
- sargstuff 3y agoUmmmm.... not quite the concept going for. More like, deeper the nested blocks, the higher on the visible 3d stacked box the block of interest (relative to rest of encompasing scoped boxes). Python spacing not as left most spacing, but 3d nested box take on Matryoshka doll. Provides a way to visually show code flow relative to number of dependencies a given code point relies on. Alternatively, use case of combination of movie 'minority report' gesture based user interface[0] and tron legacy scene where Flynn fixes Quorra's broken DNA code. Although, in this request, it's source code and not 'DNA'. [0] : https://vimeo.com/253268526 https://vimeo.com/253268526
