No doubt what you say about the PRC is true. That said, I'd be damned surprised if Huawei's claims about HarmonyOS aren't true. Likely claims about performance are exaggerated but with the hindsight of Linux and Android and then starting afresh even moderate performers ought to be able to do better. Of course, I wouldn't trust HarmonyOS farther than I could throw it but that's nothing to do with performance.
