Building efficient AI chips will be key to OpenAI's profitability. It's too damn expensive to run their models on classical hardware.
I wonder what happened to all the AI hardware startups like Graphcore. I haven't seen any mention of them for years.
- andy99 3y agoThere is cerebras, sambanova, untether, groq, that's just off the top of my head. Lots going on in the area, I think this will be a make or break year for many.
