In principle, it is comprehensible in some sense tho not by one human, but the architecture is quite different than LLMs and we don’t know what parts of the architecture are needed for sentience. Given the gap between what genetics starts going and what we end up with by age 25, it is likely that certain routine experiences of childhood and of human social groups are also requirements for sentience.
