Matthew 28:18-20 quotes Jesus as saying ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.’ Jesus was really annoying to many, many people when he was going around preaching to large crowds. The fact that he was viewed as a rabble rouser and demagogue played a significant role in his death. (Along with proclaiming that he was the Son of God).
