As an Android user the main reason I don't use Firefox is that it feels slower, not because of any anticompetitive behavior. In Firefox, there's often layout shifts when I load the home page, keyboard animations sometimes jump around, I can't use the "release to select" menu option, etc.
- recursive 3y agoI've been using it for years and never been able to notice this.
- yorwba 3y agoWhat is "release to select"?
- OJFord 3y agoYou right click and hold, context menu opens, you navigate to the option you want, and release your click to select that option. It's definitely configurable, I don't know what the default is, but I had it on accidentally once and it took me a while even to figure out what was happening (I kept accidentally opening new tabs, or whatever the top item is).
- yorwba 3y agoI probably should've asked "What is 'release to select' in the context of Android?"
- cma 3y agoAlso basic keyboard nav shortcuts (external keyboard) don't work at all on Firefox.
