Depends on the use case, but personally EVs are not for me. Hybrids are a better choice, but I'm not paying thousands more for an EV/Hybrid version over gas and the issues related to them. And I suspect I'm not alone.
I'm sure that EV's are the future when all the issues are more resolved.

The Acura was made up of simple parts that I could replace when needed myself, in my garage, with little more than an inherited toolbox and a youtube guide. The Bolt has basically no critical parts that can fail, to the point that it's a non-issue. My hybrid Subaru has both the mountain of moving parts expected from an ICE, and too much crap under the hood to make DIY maintenance feasible under my (admittedly limited) patience constraints. The Acura I had to put gas in every week and a half or so. The Bolt I plug in overnight every couple days. The hybrid needed nightly charging, and to be fueled every month or so. The Acura, with its manual transmission and V-tech, was a hoot and a half to drive. The Bolt has great acceleration (though it's software capped speed of 93 mph is... offensive). The hybrid was one of the most miserable to drive hunks I've ever handled, with mediocre acceleration that fell off a cliff when the battery ran low, and a under-powered engine that failed to get up to a healthy roar when gunning it.
